SF YMCA Point Bonita
SF YMCA POINT BONITA VISION PLAN
A new vision for a Marin Headlands outdoor education institution
The YMCA engaged MKThink to help them develop a plan to connect their Point Bonita outdoor education site to its broader array of outdoor education facilities in the Bay Area. The user groups are vast and often include youth who have their first and often only significant exposure to the California Coast through this location. The SF YMCA / MKThink collaboration first established a plan and communication tools to assess the gap between the historical and future programs, facilities, and operations. Next, it created the framework for audience engagement, expanded and focused programming, and critical and inspirational site enhancements to support core and unique outdoor education.
