PERFORMING ARTS CENTER

A peforming arts center set among heritage redwood trees

MKThink designed this state-of-the-art performing arts center for an esteemed college preparatory school. The three-building complex surrounds a central plaza and features a flexible 400-seat auditorium with retractable seating, a black box drama theater, a professional-grade set production shop, and chorus and orchestra classrooms. The central plaza defines the primary campus entrance and offers an alternative outdoor space for congregation, learning, and performance. The center incorporates sustainable measures, notably the 9,500-SF living roof of flowering Sedum.
