City of Davis
CITY-WIDE SPACE USE ASSESSMENT
More efficient delivery of city services through data-driven planning
MKThink is advising the City of Davis on establishing a data-driven approach to planning the growth and disposition of 42 city-owned facilities. Key to this approach is a dynamic, web-based tool for estimating workspace requirements, planning key facility moves, and projecting associated costs. MKThink worked collaboratively with city staff to develop this web-based tool, which incorporates data from site observations and input from 300+ employees on workspace standards. The tool also integrates existing facility studies conducted by commercial contractors. Ultimately, the comprehensive tool will support the city’s goals for facility and service delivery improvements.
