Among concerns over the failure to serve Hawai'i Schools with unspent funding, the Director of the Hui for Excellence in Education (HE'E), Cheri Nakamura, recognizes the Facilities Asset Management (FAM) System, developed by the Hawaii Department of Education's (HIDOE) work with MKThink and other partners as strides in the right direction. FAM streamlines project processes from start to finish with assessments of school campuses against a standard set of guidelines to shorten timelines and best allocate budgets to meet HIDOE goals.
