City of Davis
CITY-WIDE SPACE USE ASSESSMENT
More efficient delivery of city services through data-driven planning
MKThink is advising the City of Davis on establishing a data-driven approach to planning the growth and disposition of 42 city-owned facilities. Key to this approach is a dynamic, web-based tool for estimating workspace requirements, planning key facility moves, and projecting associated costs. MKThink worked collaboratively with city staff to develop the web- based tool, which incorporates data from site observations and input from 300+ employes on workspace standards. The tool also integrates existing facility studies conducted by commercial contractors. Ultimately, the comprehensive tool will be used to support the city’s goals for facility and service delivery improvements.
