Mark R. Miller

Mark leads MK Think as CEO and co-founder. He is the creative, inventive and entrepreneurial heart of the company. Trained as an architect and urbanist, he excels at generating and connecting building, environment, human behavior and technology thought leadership – particularly for strategic assignments that require integrated creativity, vision and practical implementation. Over the nearly 20 years of MK Think, Mark has led many projects in the learning, health and wellness and community building categories.

Marijke Smit

As Principal and COO, Marijke leads best practices in planning. She brings twenty years of experience in planning, community engagement, and corporate leadership. From 2010 to 2017 She led growth at MKThink-founded Project Frog, a successful, sustainable pre-fab building company. She returned to MKThink to help lead the next generation of the company’s success. Highlights of her education and civic work include the Moynihan Station Redevelopment, the NYPD Consolidated Training Center, Golden Gate Bridge Pavilion, Crissy Field Environmental Center, Oakland Unified School District Master Plan and the Stanford Law School Master Plan.

Nate Goore

As Principal and CFO, Nate oversees strategic initiatives, combining elements of his diverse consulting background to develop high value solutions. HIs diverse professional history gives him a multifaceted background spanning architecture, information technology, banking, marketing, and product development. Throughout his career Nate has worked with Fortune 100 clients in the retail, financial, and manufacturing sectors, as well as many leading academic institutions. His primary focus is on integrating business processes, technology, and organizational changes with the physical environment to create lasting value. Nate also oversees MKThink’s Honolulu office.

John Berg

As Principle and CBO, John leads marketing, business strategy & planning, as well as business development for the company. He brings thirty-five years of general management, executive client consulting, and a particular expertise in the retail, restaurant and automotive categories. Highlights of his marketing work include the global launch of the Volvo XC90, Pizza Hut’s Bigfoot pizza and Walmart’s 2017 integrated Holiday campaign. While a trustee of Northfield Mount Hermon school John held several leadership positions including the buildings and grounds committee.
