Project Description

Crissy Field Center

Crissy Field Center had to relocate due to construction of the Presido Parkway. MKThink partnered with Project Frog to design and develop a new home for the center using a pre-fab building system that fit the Park’s budget and timeline.

Completed in just nine months, the new Crissy Field Center boasts a public café and visitor center and classrooms and labs for its environmental education programs. A nationally recognized model of sustainability, the building combines solar power with eco-friendly materials and energy-efficient strategies to create a living example of the stewardship the Golden Gate National Parks Conservancy seeks to foster in children and adults alike—to build a more sustainable, socially and environmentally just society.
